The ART of FISHING
Fishing is an amazing hobby filled with a wide range of gear like rods, reels, hooks, lines, and lures. With so many choices and combinations, figuring out when and where to use them can be overwhelming. But don't worry, Castle Hill RSL Fishing Club is here to help with our "The Art of Fishing" information nights!
Our speakers cover everything from targeting specific fish species to selecting the right tackle and using it effectively. We even organize workshops for hands-on learning to enhance your fishing skills. Our goals are simple: - Introduce fishing to more people in the community. - Take the mystery out of fishing gear and techniques. - Enhance the knowledge and skills of all anglers. - Inspire younger and newer anglers to get more involved in fishing. - Above all, have a blast and ensure that everyone enjoys their fishing adventures to the fullest! So far, we've covered topics such as: - Jigging for Kingfish by Andrew Hestelow from The Downrigger Shop - Targeting Bream with local experts Darren Dowd and Dean Nash, both veterans of the Berkley Bream Challenge - Hunting Whiting with Ryan Theuns, a familiar face from BCF Castle Hill - Chasing Hawkesbury River Jewfish with Gary Titterton - Trolling for Trout in Lake Eucumbene with David Tinworth, also known as Dave Trout from Trout Trollers Australia Facebook Page - Demystifying Sounders with Greg Beattie, a well-known local and Lowrance Pro Angler who gave an insightful talk on sounders, focusing on the Lowrance HDS Series. Plus, don't forget our Friday night talks after the Meat Raffle. Join us for some fun and learning. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and Club Calendar for upcoming events. We can't wait to see you there! |
